David’s new book ‘Giving Voice to my Music’ will be published by Kahn and Averill at the end of July – www.kahnandaverill.co.uk and launched at the Three Choirs Festival on July 30th. John Rutter, one of the composers featured in the book will be in conversation with David at 6pm at the King’s School Theatre, before the main evening concert at Worcester Cathedral.
The new book includes interviews with twenty-four of the leading composers of choral music working in the world today, discussing their inspirations, challenges, influences, what choral music means to them, and how they have worked through the pandemic of the last eighteen months.
Royalties from the sale of this book will be donated to the Royal Philharmonic Society for their support of composers and the commissioning of new works.
