Concert and recording project

David joins two of the UK’s most acclaimed ensembles for an exciting concert/recording project that takes place between March and July 2016. He will conduct the Marian Consort (www.marianconsort.co.uk) and the Berkeley Ensemble (www.berkeleyensmble.co.uk) in a revival of Lennox Berkeley’s startlingly beautiful ‘Stabat Mater’ in programmes that also include music by Britten, Ravel, Poulenc and Michael Berkeley at three major festivals:

March 25th – Aldeburgh Music – a concert at Blythburgh Church, Suffolk (www.aldeburgh.co.uk)

June 7th – Spitalfields Music, London (www.spitalfieldsmusic.org.uk)

July 17th Cheltenham Music Festival (www.cheltenhamfestivals.com)

After the performance at Blythburgh Church, the ensembles will move to Snape Maltings to record the ‘Stabat Mater’ and Michael Berkeley’s ‘Touch Light’, together with Lennox Berkeley’s ‘Mass for five voices’ for Delphian Records (www.delphianrecords.co.uk), for release in early June this year
